Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Barshaini – Rudra Nag/Kalga – Kheerganga
The starting point for the trek is Barshaini. It is 16 kms away from Kasol, while 12 kms away from Manikaran.
Start your trek from Barshaini to Kheerganga, which is a moderate 12 km trek that takes around 5-6 hours.You will reach the trek's highest point after a 12 km stroll through pine forests. You'll reach Kheerganga once you've climbed the last hill, which leads to a stunning natural hot spring. While strolling through the magnificent landscape to the villages of Kalga and Pulga. This is a great time to learn about the local way of life and see how people survive here. Interact with the locals, and click a few pictures with them to save as memoirs of the amazing time you have on the Kasol to Kheerganga trek. After reaching the green meadow of Kheerganga, take a refreshing dip in the hot springs to wash off the fatigue of the journey. The cool weather and vistas of the mighty peaks of the Himalayas, and the therapeutic water of the hot springs is a unique
combination; an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.
Day 2 - Kheerganga – Barshaini – Kasol
Wake up to a magnificent view of the Himalayan peaks, and prepare for the journey back to Kasol through the same route you took to reach Kheerganga. Seize this opportunity to click pictures of the Himalayan landscape once again. Take local transport to Bhunter and board your bus to your destination place.

Essential Checklist for Kheerganga:
Gear & Clothing:
Backpack: 30–40 liters with a rain cover.
Footwear: Broken-in trekking shoes with good grip
and waterproof socks.
Clothing: Quick-dry t-shirts, track pants (avoid
jeans), fleece jacket, down jacket, and
windproof/waterproof jacket or poncho.
Winter Gear: Woolen cap, gloves, and thermal
inners (essential for chilly evenings).
Comfort: Sandals/flip-flops for relaxing at the
campsite.
Trekking Essentials:
Hydration/Nutrition: Reusable water bottles (carry
at least 2 liters), glucose/electral powder, and
energy bars/dry fruits.
Lighting: Headlamp or torch with extra batteries.
Electronics: Power bank (limited electricity/network
at top).
Safety: Basic first-aid kit (medicines for altitude
sickness, sprain spray, bandaids, painkillers).
Personal Care & Documents:
Toiletries: Sunscreen (SPF 40+), lip balm, moisturizer,
cold cream, hand sanitizer, and wet wipes.
Documents: Valid Government ID proof (Aadhar,
License, or Passport).
Cash: Carry enough cash; ATMs are unavailable at the
top.

Trekking pole for support.

Important Tips:
Weather: Even in summer, nights are cold; be prepared
for temperature drops.
Monsoon: If trekking between July and September, a
high-quality raincoat is mandatory.
Leave No Trace: Carry a garbage bag to bring back all
your waste.
