Pick-up from Haridwar Railway / Dehradun Airport station to Barkot
Pick-up from Haridwar in the morning. Drive to Barkot Then rest, relax and store your energy for the Pahad (Hill) Yatra of Yamunotri the next day. Overnight stay at Barkot Hotel. Barkot Weather – Generally pleasant in summer, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degree Celsius, Winter: The Days are pleasantly cool but the nights are cold, temp ranges from 10 deg to 05 deg. Distance: - 191 km Time: - 9 to 10 hrs. (During Dham Yatra)
DAY 2: Barkot to Yamunotri – Barkot {45 kms drive & 6 kms Trek (one side)} HT: 3291 MTS.
Wake up, , and get ready as the much-awaited Char Dham Yatra begins today. Start your drive from Barkot to Yamunotri Dham, India’s second most holy river from where the Yamuna river has originated. After reaching Jan ki Chatti, take a bath in Jamnabai Kund, which is believed to cleanse and protect from a painful death. After the bath, start a 6 km trek. This can be covered by walking, horse, or doli. Once you reach the temple, give your respects, and praise the mother, Yamuna. The idol of Ganga Devi is placed inside the temple. Next, visit Surya Kund, a hot spring near the temple. The kund is so hot that you can boil some rice and potatoes here. Take this as a prasad of the Devi. After the visit to Yamunotri, trek down to Jan ki Chatti and drive back to Barkot. Distance: - 45kms drive & 6 kms Trek (one side) Overnight stay in Barkot.
DAY 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi (82 kms/ 4 hr to 6 Hrs) HT :1352 MTS.
On this day you will be heading out to the next location, Uttarkashi. This town is situated along the banks of river Bhagirathi and is the district capital of the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. On arrival, pay homage to Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India, and Shakti Temple, famous for the big Trishul of 6 meters in height and 90 cm in circumference. After that make your way to the hotel and relax for the rest of the day. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi. Distance from Barkot to Uttarkashi - 82 km Travel time – 4 - 6 hours (approx.)
DAY 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi (100kms/3-4 Hrs. each side) HT: 3048 MTS.
In the Morning begin the journey by driving from Uttarkashi to Gangotri. Stop in between to take a holy dip in Garam Kund at Gangnani. Next, proceed to the next pilgrimage site on the Chota Char Dham route. The valley is known for its mesmerizing views of Deodar trees and the soaring peaks. Once you reach Gangotri, one of the holiest shrines in Uttarakhand that applauds the Goddess Ganga, take a dip in the holy Ganges River. After the aarti, relax and admire the scenery around you. Later, drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi. Distance from Uttarkashi to Gangotri - 99.5 km Travel Time- 3 - 5 hours (approx.)
DAY 5: Uttarkashi to Phata (227kms/9-11 hrs.) HT: 1319 MTS.
In the Morning proceed towards phata . En route, witness the scenic view of Ganga river. Stop for lunch at Tilwada. Take all your essentials from here as there are no shops ahead. Continue your journey and see Agastmuni in between. Once reached Phata, check-in at the property and rest. Distance from Uttarkashi to Phata- 227 km Travel time – 9 - 11 hours (approx.)
DAY 6: Phata to Kedarnath trek (38 Kms / 2- 3 Hrs + 18 Kms trek)
Wake up and leave early in the morning to start the trek. Our driver will take you to Sonprayag, from here you need to take a local cab that will cost you around 50Rs to reach Gaurikund, and from Gaurikund trek will start. Once reached, praise the almighty Lord Shiva. Witness the entire valley echoing with the sounds of ringing bells and religious prayers. Overnight stay in Kedarnath. Overnight stay in Kedarnath camps.
DAY 7: Kedarnath to Phata trek (38 Kms / 2- 3 Hrs + 18 Kms trek)
Wake up and leave early in the morning to start the trek back to Gaurikund. Take a local cab to sonprayag from here our driver will pick you up and drop you to the hotel as overnight stay at property.
DAY 8: Phata to Pipalkoti (132 kms/ 07 – 09 hrs.) HT: 3133 MTS.
In the Morning proceed from Phata to pipalkoti, the last stay point for last Dham on the Chota Char Dham Yatra. This notable shrine lies at an elevation of 3,133 m and is nestled between the Nar and Narayan mountains. Once reached, explore the town on the holy confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Once reached Pipalkoti, check-in to the hotel and retire for the day. Overnight stay in Pipalkoti. Distance from Phata to Pipalkoti – 132 km Travel time - 7 - 9 hours (approx.)
DAY 9: Pipalkoti to Badrinath and Back To Pipalkoti
Wake up early in the morning and proceed to the famous shrine of Badrinath Temple. This morning, visit Badrinath Temple for Darshan. At appropriate time leave back for Pipalkoti. On reaching, check-in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Pipalkoti Travel Time – 75km
DAY 10: Pipalkoti To Haridwar Drop
